A first half goal enough for Hampton to take trophy.

Max Kretzschmar's 43rd minute goal, an exquisite header from a Taurean Roberts cross, was what split the teams but the last 20 minutes were a tightrope for the Beavers following Charlie Wassmer's dismissal for a foolhardy off-the-ball incident, spotted by the referee.

The first part of the first half was quite even, before Hampton started to stretch the game.

Just after the half hour, Kretzschmar had a chance from the right of the box; the ball eventually came back to him and he then could only find the side netting.

The Beavers kept the pressure on, creating further chances before Kretzschmar's header from Roberts' cross left Jonathan North grasping at air as it the ball flew into the opposite corner of the net.

The Stones tried to rally early in the second half, Fitchett putting a golden chance over the bar from inside the 6 yard box.

Hampton could've killed off the game as a competition with an hour played, a fast counterattack gave the Beavers a 4 on 2 advantage but North performed heroics to prevent Ryan Moss scoring the second goal.

Wassmer's red card for an off the ball incident with some 20 minutes left, meant the Beavers had to work hard to make sure Wealdstone didn't get a shot on target to trouble Howes and they didn't, leaving Hampton worthy winners of the Middlesex Senior Cup for the 3rd time in 6 seasons.
