The club have just been informed by Cray Wanderers that tomorrow's match has had to be postponed, due to a waterlogged pitch.

Pictures from Hayes Lane show standing water on the pitch and further rain is expected in the time up to kick off tomorrow.

Cray, pictured here after scoring in the match at the Beveree last season, are bottom of the table having lost their last six Ryman Premier matches.

When we have agreed a new date for this game, we shall let you all know.

The Beavers were looking forward to trying to make it three wins on the spin after an excellent Christmas double over promotion-chasers Kingstonian and Wealdstone.

But it's not to be after the bad weather took its toll again leaving us without a match on New Year's Day.

What it does do is give the team some recovery time ahead of Saturday's home match with Bury Town.

Charlie Moone and his heroic Hampton team-mates gave the club's supporters the perfect Christmas present by flattening high-flying Kingstonian.

The striker was once again in deadly form as the Beavers recovered from going a goal behind to offer a festive treat to the fans.

The second-place Ks simply had not answer as the hosts ran out comfortable winners at the Beveree.

After Ryan Lake drew the team level on the stroke of half-time, Moone's treble left the home faithful in dream-land.

He scored a fifteen minute hat-trick to ensure the three points were ours - meaning the fantastic frontman now has 25 league and cup goals this season.

A bumper Boxing Day crowd of 505 were left wanting more with joint manager Darren Powell saying after it was the performance of the season.

He said: "It was a great afternoon - the second-half performance in particular was outstanding. It feels like things are really coming together."

The Beavers were at it again this afternoon, shocking another of the Ryman Premier big-hitters - this time seeing off leaders Wealdstone.

In undoubtedly the result of the season so far, the boys came from behind to spring a big surprise at Grosvenor Vale.

Gordon Bartlett's men went ahead after Sean Cronin's 25th minute penalty found the net.

But just like against Kingstonian on Boxing Day, the Beavers showed their character. Tom Hickey and free-scoring Charlie Moone put us in at the break in front.

An second-half onslaught was expected from the Stones but it was Hampton that got the vital next goal.

Joe Turner notching his third of the campaign to make it 3-1 and confirm back-to-back wins for Paul and Darren's side.
