The Beavers' outstanding victory over Wealdstone on 28th December has brought them the award of the first Performance of the Month Award winners of 2014. In a week of quality performances by the Beavers, the highlight turned out to be the excellent victory at Grosvenor Vale. To be eligible for the award, the judges consider a shortlist of potential clashes, looking at the form of the teams involved and the circumstances behind the winning performances before casting their votes. The award is sponsored by Macron to celebrate the top monthly performances in the Isthmian's three divisions. The Beavers went behind early thanks to Sean Cronin's penalty, but goals from Tom Hickey, Charlie Moone and Joe Turner turned round the game in spectacular fashion against the league leaders. Congratulations to the team for turning the game round in such a conclusive fashion, and to Paul and Darren for masterminding the performance. The club will be presented with a glass trophy marking the achievements at an upcoming fixture after the trophy is officially unveiled. The winners in the other divisions were Witham Town, thanks to their 4-1 win over VCD Athletic on December 7th in the North, and in the South, Ramsgate took the remaining award with a 5-0 win over Hastings United on Boxing Day This entry passed through the Full-Text RSS service — if this is your content and you're reading it on someone else's site, please read the FAQ at fivefilters.org/content-only/faq.php#publishers.
