Ex Beaver news...

  1. They have Lamont and Glasson also in their squad. Nearly rival Woking for ex Hampton!
Certainly their Directors have pushed the boat out this season as regards the budget which would be very respectable in our league. Results have not followed and the Manager is taking a lot of flack.
If they fail to get promoted, it would not surprise me to see him go as well as some of the players, especially if there are break clauses should promotion had not been achieved.

Ks and W••king have between them more old Hampton than a Hollywood home for retired porn stars, one might say :)

    28 day loan

  5. Ks with all those ex Hampton players have just lost their fifth consecutive game tonight.

  6. Our old boys had a bad day today, Inman scored but Ks lost 7-1 at Dorking. Consequently they have sacked their manager and rumour has it Brad Quinton (ex Braintree) is the name in the frame, if true, he does have a decent track record.
They need wins to turn things around quickly, they have a reported large budget aimed for promotion if not achieved they have wasted a lot of money, several players may leave and will the budget be as much next season?

Hayes & Yeading United website reports that they signed Charlie Burns from us in January 2019. Seems to have gone unreported as Charlie was out on dual registration with a number of teams. He could feature for them on Tuesday night. Tom Jelley and Duncan Culley are also there.

  8. Our old boys at Ks have a new manager in ex Hemel and Billericay manager Dean Brennan!

I was tempted to say Kingstonian isn't the chaotic club that Ricaaaay has been recently, but then K's have now managed to lose three grounds in their lifetime and are now playing in reduced circumstances over at Casuals. Brennan looks like a decent appointment, on paper at least. He likes a decent budget, which K's appear to have, (for the moment) and has some good player contacts. Might be too late for a playoff challenge this season though.

  11. From what I understand, they have a budget better than a substantial number of clubs in our league and have been able to attract players who had less attractive financial offers from clubs in our league.
Their previous manager was never upto the task at managing at Isthmian Premier level and whilst he remained promotion was unlikely. The final result last Saturday may have been almost a protest from team to remove him.
Looking at their table they are still not many points adrift of the playoffs even now, so with the team currently available to Brennan (plus his contacts), a promotion via playoffs is still feasible.
It would be very upsetting if they came up and we went in the other direction!

  12. Looks like Richard Orlu is fit and back playing for Welling who are having to tailor their budget. As a result, Welling have released a very capable central defender in Josh Hill who is very experienced at our level.

And staying with defenders I see Michael Kamara has joined Woking. I assume as cover more than anything.

  14. In last weeks Conference South team of the week were Orlu and Wassmer with Dan Thompson and Collier as substitutes.

Is Orlu no longer with us?

  16. No returned to Welling after loan finished. Restored to Welling team, came on early as sub against Torquay and played well to get into the team of the week.
