Not posted for a while so I'll dive straight back in. 7-2 is a good start for the new guys put together by Gary McCann in stifling heat away to Bedfont Sports. Yes, we were a class above them at times but 7 goals against any opposition at this early stage in the season is a great start by anyone's standards. Fitness levels looked impressive too. Some good individual displays from those players already announced, alongside triallists (I presume) who also made their mark.
If attacking football like that is what we have to look forward this season then bring it on.

  2. As mentioned, it was not the strongest team fielded as Gary is looking at fitness and combinations, you can only play who is put in front of you. Good start in difficult conditions.

    And assorted other cliches

  4. Sorry Steve, I failed to work in ‘take one game at at a time’.

  6. Can't believe you are wasting good clichés on "a meaningless pre season friendly"
