    torm Dennis is looming large.

This on the Club Twitter account...

Storm Dennis is on its way, but we just wanted to let our supporters know we are doing all we can to make sure tomorrow’s game v @theterras isn’t affected. In the meantime please keep an eye on our social channels for all the latest and up to date information.

The Club have, since yesterday, been in discussions with Weymouth FC and the League. Weymouth are due to leave around 9am tomorrow. Currently the pitch is playable, if a bit wet. The problem will occur as the storm arrives probably around lunchtime.

The storm is expected to land in the South West tomorrow morning and arrive in the South East - around the time that Weymouth's coach pulls up at the ground.

Whether it is possible to postpone the game in advance of Storm Dennis remains in the hands of the League.

It would be much simpler if we were looking at blizzards and snow rather than wind and rain!

League Suits and Blazers. Should call the games off. Think about the danger for Players Supporters and Officials having to travel in the storm and then get home. Forecast is terrible. And with heavy rain forecast as well, even our excellent pitch won't cope. Hope the League show some commonsense.

Way too early to call the game off. Think also of the financial impact (on Hampton) of rearranging for a Tuesday, and the work impact (on Weymouth) of having to travel on a Tuesday.

I do agree that on the day a decision should be made at 9am if that is the time Weymouth are leaving. Sadly there are many instances this season of the initial early decision by a local referee being overturned 5 hours later by the match referee, despite little changes in conditions.

Eastbourne v Wealdstone has been called off by the League due to weather forecast.

To which you can add AFC Fylde, Barnet, Barrow and Wrexham (currently).

And Fulham deaf men was called off today. They play their home matches at Motspur park but not the training ground. However they do train at the training ground...

All the games that have been currently called off the opposition were due to travel a greater distance than Weymouth.
Not sure you can call a game off due to what might happen with the weather.

Do they take the train to train at the training ground?

Very funny! In fact most of them drive there

  12. Assuming the game is on. Our visitors have several players on loan from Bournemouth. Think it will be a difficult game. Hope for the form of Dartford rather than Welling.

Pitch is playable at the moment, but Dennis hasn't done his worst yet.

Maybe their pitch wasn't playable, and it hads nothing to do with the inpending weather.

They play in a park nothing to do with pitch drainage. It's the impending dangerous weather conditions that called it off a day early

Game definitely ON. The wind could easily make this a bit of a farce if it picks up as predicted. The side mastering the conditions could be the winners today.
