Marcel added a third I understand. Two in two games — prolific :)

Yep, 3-0, a decent display but admittedly against a fairly limited side. Good to get a win under our belts though. Let's hope the winning feeling continues through to Saturday, we might need it as Gloucester won at Slough tonight.

Only two of the H&Y team started their match against Cheshunt last Saturday. So they're making the league a priority

  6. Bearing in mind that they are two league steps below us, a win regardless of the strength of teams fielded should have been expected.
Gary spoke of some players putting their hands up to start on Saturday. I could not attend the game due to family sickness, so would be interested to know from those who saw the game, who you think will have forced their way into the starting eleven for the vital Gloucester game?

As you say Shep, beating their second string is not something to get too excited about.

The one who stood out for me would be Barrington, I would give him a start on Saturday. Possibly young Ryan Hill as well, who at the very least always looks like he's doing his best and puts a shift in.

  9. Thanks for the information. Most of the changes yesterday involved players who have been found wanting in the past, so perhaps not surprising not many highlighted.
As you wrote perhaps Hill on the wing and Barrington in the attack, would assume Dickson as leading scorer, will keep his place, so who to change !

I would agree about Barrington. A very well taken goal and all round performance. I thought Joseph played with more confidence. Wellard starting strongly but drifted out of the game. Sprague was mentioned by the manager as performing well and he did seem to offer good balance with Bray but to me he seems to make mistakes when not under pressure, if that makes sense. It was a good game. Their young right back looked very good.

  11. Sprague is left sided so will always give good balance in the centre of the defence, not sure if he completely suited to this role and his height might be a drawback at times. A specialist left sided central defender would be one type of player I think we could look to recruit.

There young right back I believe was the one who use to be in our Academy

Although Ryan Hill looks very threatening I feel he is more threatening coming on in 60+min when the defence is tiring and make more of an impact like Hemel away let’s say

Connors up to left mid, Joseph/Hill on the other flank, Marcel off Dundo up top — give Dicko a rest on the bench, looks jaded and has lost some sharpness that will hopefully come back when he’s not being relied on so heavily, on for the last 15/20 if all going well.
