To my amazement I see Wealdstone won at Bath. Not sure what to make of that, they were very ordinary against us the other week.
In the Southern League, Met Police beat Salisbury and have set themselves up for a game against Poole, who apparently kept most of their players from when they were up in this division before.
    The Isthmian playoffs are tonight.

  2. Bath played quite a bit of the game with ten men as they had a sending off. Wealdstone lost their keeper as a result of this incident.

  3. Salisbury should have put that to bed before halftime . But an obdurate performance from Met whose opener was a cracker . Will go and see the Poole game on Monday - the winners of that face the mystery super play off I believe

Talking of Playoffs !!! The team Hampton beat 1-0 away in the FA Cup Qualifiers In October = Eastleigh just beat Wrexham !!!!!! 1-0 away in the National league quarter final playoffs.
They will meet 'Class of 92's' Salford City side in the semi-final to decide whether they will be in the Playoff final at Wembley [vs AFC Fylde or Solihull Moors].
Another 'old' Hampton FC link is that their winning goal was scored by Danny Hollands !!!!!!!!!! son of Tim Hollands. Saw him playing in midfield for Charlton 5/6 years ago, quality player, ex-Chelsea reserves captain, but not surprisingly? didn't make the first team.
AFC Fylde beat Solihull Moors to be at Wembley, this means that there will be a 'new' team in the Football league next year, as none of the semi-finalists have ever played in the League before.

Tonbridge v Merstham in the Isthmian Play Off final on Monday, after their 2-1 wins at Haringey and Carshalton respectively.

So, Woking v Wealdstone in the playoffs today. I really have no preference whatsoever but Wealdstone's recent form is a bit better, except against us...could they be this year's Braintree? Oh, ok, actually it would be pretty funny to see Woking lose at home. But then Wealdstone never exactly endear themselves. Tough one...

Oh Dear !!! Wealdstone take the lead after 3 mins !!! Plenty of time for Moussa or Max K to equalise !

Half an hour gone and Woking losing 2-0, Welling leading 2-0, the only Ex-Beaver not taken to Woking [Brendan] must be very happy.

Blimey 85 minutes and Both matches 2-2.
Moussa and Max have scored. So it's Wealdstone 2 Ex Hampton 2 !!!!

Wonder if there will be penalty shootouts? Will Josh and Brendan have to take one? Again.

This IS getting ridiculous !!!!!!! Welling 3 -2 winners with
A BRENDAN KIERNAN PENALTY after 96 minutes !!!

So 50% of the goals scored in the playoffs from ex-Hampton players!!!

Chelmsford knocked out of the Play Off semis because of a penalty for the second season in a row. Wonder who it was last year...

Kiernan to score the winner in the final? Might be worth a little punt...

  15. In some ways the two teams with the best league records meet in the final as a reward for their season efforts.
Ironic about Brendan scoring a penalty, perhaps he didn’t like scoring them for Dowse!

  16. After 120 minutes against Braintree, Brendan was all-in, physically and mentally. Very poor management by Dowson to let him take one.

  17. Think you find Brendan also missed another vital penalty earlier in the season. Max excluded, our record from the spot was not very good .

Great player though, is Brendan. Hope he comes back at some point, he clearly has a rapport with the fans at Hampton as he tweeted about it before we played Welling the other week. Then he spent a minute acknowledging and applauding the Hampton end after the final whistle. Can't understand our ex manager's reluctance to take him to Woking.
